Spain has officially recalled its ambassador to Israel, ending Ana María Sálomon Pérez’s mandate amid rising diplomatic tensions. (euronews.com

The move follows months of friction over Israel’s military actions in Gaza and the broader Middle East conflict, including Iran-related strikes. Madrid also barred the use of its airspace and ports for weapons bound for Israel a policy that drew sharp criticism from Tel Aviv. (elespanol.com)

Spain’s government says this is a stand for human rights and a “no to war” stance. With the ambassador gone, the Spanish embassy in Israel will be run by a charge d’affaires, signaling a clear diplomatic rift while still keeping ties open. (en.ara.cat)

This is one of the boldest European moves in the current Middle East crisis sending a strong message that Spain is willing to break protocol to defend its position. (news.cgtn.com)
