We won’t let a single litre of oil through the Strait of Hormuz for the benefit of the United States, Israel or their allies,” said Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al‑Anbiya military command. He warned that any ship or tanker linked to those countries would be treated as a target, and added the world should “prepare for oil at $200 a barrel” because, in Tehran’s view, global oil prices are tied to regional security.
